Countryside will accept any resident who has been screened as appropriate for nursing home care and who has a diagnosis of mental illness; i.e., schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder, personality disorder, major depression and those who have an organic dementia (nonprogressive). We are not a resource for persons with a progressive dementia such as Alzheimers.
